Introducing Al Scott
Al Scott first became influenced by the music of Michael Jackson, it must have been the Quincy Jones element that appealed to him. Although his main passion is for jazz music, he's done session work for various producers, and featured live alongside DJs in the dance music scene.
Back in Manchester he had a Trio, which regularly played various venues including Matt and Phreds, a well-known Jazz club up north.
Al Scott met bassist Nick Pini and Drummer Marco Quarantotto in 2009 while at a jam session in North London. Marco had just moved to London from Croatia. From that first session Al knew he had found a drummer with a difference. Nick also had a great understanding and overall sound which Al was looking for.
Their debut album Introducing The Al Scott Trio was released in 2011 and they are due to begin recording another album with new material in spring 2015
